Why we built The Stockvel App

Stockvels are one of South Africa's great traditions: neighbours, church members, colleagues and families saving together, keeping each other going. But too many stockvels still run on notebooks, cash and WhatsApp messages. Money goes missing. Treasurers get blamed. People who have no group to join are left out.

The Stockvel App keeps everything that makes a stockvel work — the group, the discipline, the celebration at the end — and removes the risk. Nobody holds the cash. Everyone sees the record. Everyone gets back what they put in.
